Our two-time stay as Globalists was a mixed bag, but overall a good time.

Our first stay here was exceptional. The mobile app gave us a suite upgrade on a high floor with view of the State Capitol.

The hotel has a prime location downtown. We spent our days scootering through the city's streets, visiting local attractions, and, at times, lounging by the hotel's pool.

The pool is a great OASIS on hot days, and allows beverages from the lobby bar, so we spent the day reading by the pool with tropical beverages in hand.

The Regency Club wasn’t open on our first visit, so we were instead given free breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. A standard buffet breakfast was offered at the Regency Club during our second visit which was a definite perk as we had a third guest with us.

While the outdoor patio at the Regency Club was great, we were disappointed to find that alcoholic beverages at the Club were not complimentary, or even discounted, which seemed a little out of step with our prior experiences.

Our second stay didn't go without hiccups though. We used a suite upgrade reward and were originally told by our Globalist concierge that we’d be getting a suite with a pullout couch. Days before checking in though we were told that we’d actually need to request a rollaway cot for our third guest, as a suite with a pullout couch was unavailable.

Things were further complicated when the morning of our check-in, we received an email stating the suite had been double-booked. We ended up with adjoining rooms instead - one king room and one double queen room. While the hotel returned our suite upgrade reward, it expired shortly after which was a bummer.

In all, if we find ourselves in Sacramento for a third time, we know that we will stay here again.
